Premios del Sindicato de Directores (DGA) #71.

Cuarón vuelve a triunfar.

El premio del Sindicato de Directores de Estados Unidos se entregó la noche de ayer, domingo 3 de febrero en la ciudad de Los Angeles. Es un reconocimiento exclusivo para los directores donde se premia la sensibilidad, la técnica y el mensaje de un producto terminado en el que intervienen cientos de manos. Estos se realizan desde hace 71 años.

De los últimos 6 años, en la categoría de película principal, los ganadores han sido directores mexicanos: Alfonso Cuarón ganó en 2013 con Gravity; Alejandro González Iñárritu en 2014 con Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance); Iñárritu repitió en el 2015 con The Revenant y en el 2016 se rompió la racha de ganadores mexicanos pues Damien Chazelle se llevó el galardón con La La Land. Guillermo Del Toro ganó en 2017 con The Shape of Water y anoche, Cuarón lo volvió a hacer con Roma, como la mejor película de 2018.
