El domingo 26 de febrero se llevó a cabo la ceremonia número 29 de los Premios SAG (2023), o Screen Actors Guild, del Sindicato de Actores de Estados Unidos, que premia a lo mejor del cine y la televisión.
Este año, la transmisión se realizó por el canal de YouTube de Netflix. Los premios fueron entregados en el Fairmont Century Plaza, en Century City, California.
Las películas Everything Everywhere All at Once y The Banshees of Inisherin, contaron con 5 nominaciones cada una, un récord alcanzado anteriormente por otras producciones, como Shakespeare in Love (1998), Chicago (2002) y Doubt (2008).
Everything Everywhere All at Once obtuvo 4 premios en las categorías de Mejor Actor (Ke Huy Quan), Mejor Actriz (Michelle Yeoh), Mejor Actriz de Reparto (Jamie Lee Curtis) y Mejor Reparto.
Brendan Fraser ganó en la categoría de Mejor Actor por su participación como Charlie en The Whale, habiendo obtenido ya varios premios, como el Critics Choice Award.
En televisión, el programa Ozark registró 4 nominaciones de las cuales ganó una, con Jason Bateman como Mejor Actor en Serie de Drama.
La serie The White Lotus obtuvo los 2 premios a los cuales estuvo nominada (Mejor Actriz a Jennifer Coolidge y Mejor Reparto en Serie de Drama).
La actriz Sally Field fue recipiente del 2022 SAG Life Achievement Award, por su trayectoria artística.
