Los Ganadores del Grammy en 2024, se dieron a conocer este domingo 4 de febrero, en lo que fue la ceremonia número 66 en su historia.
El Grammy se entregó en el Crypto.com Arena, de Los Angeles, California, Estados Unidos. El anfitrión por cuarta ocasión consecutiva, fue Trevor Noah.
La más nominada de la noche fue SZA, con 9 menciones, seguida de Victoria Monét, Phoebe Bridgers y Serban Ghenea, con 7.
Varias talentosas mujeres contaron con 6 nominaciones cada una: Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Brandy Clark y el trío femenino, Boygenius. Lana del Rey, una de las favoritas entre los fans, se quedó corta con una nominación, al recibir 5. Con 6 menciones también tuvimos a Jack Antonoff y a Jon Batiste.
Taylor Swift es la primera artista en la historia del Grammy en ganar Álbum del Año en 4 ocasiones. Le siguen, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder y Paul Simon, con 3. No obstante, el ingeniero Şerban Ghenea, cuenta con 5 galardones al Mejor Álbum, mientras que los ingenieros, John Haynes, Tom Coyne y Randy Merrill, también han obtenido 4 preseas en la misma categoría.
Swift aprovechó para anunciar el lanzamiento de su nuevo álbum, The Tortured Poets Department, disponible el 19 de abril.
Phoebe Bridgers, se anotó 4 triunfos. SZA, Victoria Monét y Boygenius, además de Killer Mike, 3.
Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus y Billie Eilish, junto con su hermano, Finneas O’Connell, ganaron en 2 ocasiones.

El legendario compositor, John Williams, se anotó 3 menciones más para el Grammy. En total, ha sido nominado 73 veces, ganando en 26 ocasiones, contando la presea que se adjudicó en esta ocasión.
En un interesante movimiento, la Academia de Grabación se pronunció en contra de la participación de la Inteligencia Artificial, decretando que ningún trabajo que no sea generado por un humano es elegible para competir.
Dentro de todas las espectaculares presentaciones en vivo hechas por gente como Dua Lipa, U2, Tracy Chapman con Luke Combs, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo y SZA, uno de los grandes momentos de la noche fue el tributo hecho en la sección In Memoriam, para algunos de los fallecidos del pasado año.
La leyenda, Stevie Wonder, interpretó “For Once in My Life” como tributo para Tony Bennett, a dueto con una grabación del neoyorquino, además cantar de “The Best Is Yet to Come”.
Annie Lennox, conmovida hasta las lágrimas, con Wendy & Lisa, dedicó “Nothing Compares 2 U”, a Sinead O’Connor.
Lenny Kravitz, presentó a Jon Batiste, quien cantó temas como “Ain´t No Sunshine” y “Lean on Me”, de Bill Withers, a la memoria del ejecutivo, Clarence Avant.
Finalmente, Oprah Winfrey presentó a Fantasia Barrino, quien hizo una impresionante versión de “Proud Mary”, en honor de Tina Turner.

“El hombre del piano”, Billy Joel, cerró los actos en vivo del Grammy 66, con su primera nueva canción en casi 30 años, “Turn the Lights Back On”; posteriormente, puso el broche de oro a la ceremonia con su clásico, “You May Be Right”.
